Started in the small town of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Frank Phillips and his brother Lee Eldas Phillips co-founded the Phillips Petroleum Company in 1917. The very first gas station was opened in 1927 in Wichita, Kansas and the first gas station in Texas was built in 1929. Obviously times have changed as more and more gas stations continue to be launched every year utilizing the Phillips 66 brand name. The brothers had a goal to provide an honest product and to earn the trust of each and every town that they served.
Today the company still brings their customers a hardworking gas from hardworking people.
