| General Information

If you’re a fleet truck driver, we know that rest stops may not be the most exciting part of your trip (even though you may have a fleet fuel card to make fueling easier). However, we’ve found a few rest stops in the U.S. that are worth visiting.

1. Alamo Plaza

Sparks, Nevada

Found at exit 20 on Interstate 80, this truck stop has 20 acres of parking and its own casino, so truckers can stop and do a little gambling without having to go to Las Vegas. The truck stop offers gasoline, restaurants, black jack tables, over 250 slot machines, and more.

2. Jubitz Travel Center

Portland, Oregon

Head to exit 307 on Interstate 5 and you’ll find a truck stop where you can enjoy a hotel instead of your cab, the Ponderosa Lounge, a movie theater, laundry services, an arcade, a medical office, and the famous Moe’s Deli.

3. Derrick Plaza

Salisbury, North Carolina

If you’re feeling religious, this truck stop on Interstate 85 features a 24-hour chapel that offers services 6 nights a week. It’s also one of the more environmentally friendly stops and features an electric station that can power your heat, air conditioning, and appliances while your truck is turned off.

4. South of the Border

Dillon, South Carolina

Not just for truckers, this stop off of Interstate 95 draws in tourists from all over the country and features amusement park rides, restaurants, souvenirs, and a mini golf course. You can even get married in Pedro’s Pleasure Dome.

5. Highlands Petro Stop

Racine, Wisconsin

Truck drivers who travel long distances know that sitting for a long time can hurt your back. At Highlands Petro Stop along Highway 20, you can enjoy a session with a chiropractor, an on-premises hair salon, showers, a theater room, and restaurants.

6. Rip Griffin Travel Center

New Braunfels, Texas

If you’re traveling along Interstate 37, stop at the Rip Griffin Travel Center and you’ll be able to take a Cadillac ride to Rip’s Country Fare Restaurant and enjoy some classic Texas barbecue. The smoker is even a converted tractor.

To make the most of your time at these truck stops, use your fleet fuel card from Fuel Express to fill up your tank. Just pay at the pump for fast service.
